Newsday and The Washington Post–liberal bastions that they are–should be ashamed of their obituaries for the Republican Party. Newsday may have committed the worst transgression by giving space for a column by a former chief of staff for President Obama and a member of Chicago’s Daley machine. Seriously? A news organization gives space to such a Democratic insider to predict the death knell for the opposition?
